Leonie graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She also holds a Diploma of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. In addition to her role at Wanneroo Physiotherapy, Leonie contributes to teaching at Curtin University in the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science.

Leonie has extensive experience working with state-level sports teams, including in the Perth Football League and NBL1, providing acute care and ongoing injury management. She is dedicated to helping athletes return to peak performance after an injury.

Committed to evidence-based practice, Leonie stays current with the latest research and regularly attends professional development courses. She has completed additional training in lower limb tendinopathy, soft tissue injury management, and strength and conditioning. She has also undertaken a course in myofascial dry needling for musculoskeletal conditions.

Combining manual therapy with exercise-based rehabilitation, Leonie empowers her patients to take control of their recovery and play an active role in achieving their health goals.

When they aren’t working, Leonie and her husband Stu enjoy spending time with their son Thomas and two dogs.
